When we develop a new product here at EquaCare, our expert and professional team do a tonne of research to ensure we’re delivering the best possible product for our customers. As a company that strongly believes in quality health and sustainability, our preference is always for natural ingredients.
A large number of our products contain natural plant oils, whose benefits have all been scientifically tested for efficacy. We’ve done the tests and researched the research and are confident in the use of these ingredients. Read on to learn more about some of our favourite plant oils and their benefits:
Kunzea Ambigua Oil
Extracted from the native Australian plant, this novel oil nourishes and protects the skin by helping to maintain a strong and healthy skin barrier. It also has the added benefit of the invigorating, clean, fresh smell of the Australian bush, which helps lift the spirits of you and your four-legged friend.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E has long been used to restore moisture to dry, rough, scaly and red skin. It provides a protective barrier to keep moisture locked in, leaving the skin feeling softer and smoother. This fat-soluble antioxidant can also be used to reduce itching and promote wound healing.
Lemon Myrtle Oil
With its citrusy, fresh scent, Lemon Myrtle Oil helps to rejuvenate our pets’ dull and brittle coats, giving them a much-needed boost to their lustre and shine. It also assists with reducing excess oil, leaving skin feeling fresh and clean without drying it out.
Neem Oil
With its fatty acid content and antiseptic properties, Neem Oil is great for nourishing the skin bed and improving the dermal environment. It assists in maintaining softness, suppleness and radiance of skin and hair, and is also known as a natural insect repellent.
Coconut Oil
A superhero of sorts, Coconut Oil has so many uses in the kitchen, cleaning cupboard, beauty bag and first aid kit. For our four-legged friends, the oil stimulates the growth of strong hair, perfect for use as a coat, mane and tail conditioner. It also helps restore moisture to dry, cracked and brittle hooves and nails.
Linseed Oil
Rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, Linseed Oil offers the highest percentage of Omega 3 and alpha-linolenic acid of similar oils. Benefiting heart health and general well-being, the use of this oil in our food product means you’re ensuring your horse receives a superior and more effective supplement.
As always, consult with your veterinarian to ensure our products are right for you and your animal.
