Clare Oxley

Founder & Managing Director

With over 30 years in the performance and racing industry, Clare Oxley is a respected leader whose career has been shaped by both hands-on expertise and a deep commitment to the equine industry. Beginning in racing riding trackwork, and the performance horse industry as an Eventer, she developed a practical, ground-up understanding of performance, recovery, and the standards required at the highest levels of the industry.

Her experience spans multiple disciplines, including eventing and the retraining of off-the-track thoroughbreds, giving her a unique, end-to-end perspective on the lifecycle of the horse—from elite racehorses to successful second careers. This breadth of knowledge underpins her strategic approach to product development and client relationships.

As Founder and Managing Director of EquaCare, Clare built the business to address the clear gaps in the market: the need for credible, premium-quality products in an industry often crowded with short-term, unproven alternatives. She leads with a strong focus on integrity, quality, and long-term trust—values that are critical in an environment where reputation defines success.

Under Clare’s leadership, EquaCare has established itself as a brand grounded in expertise and reliability, supported by a team of highly qualified professionals. Her vision is clear: to deliver solutions that give owners and professionals absolute confidence in the care of their horses.

Caroline Harvey

Director of Regulatory Division & International Engagement

Caroline joined EquaCare after a successful 12 year career with the APVMA in Veterinary Medicines and International Engagement.

Caroline is a highly experienced regulatory scientist specialising in veterinary medicines. 

Having worked in both government and private industry for over 16 years in technical and corporate executive-level roles she has a keen interest in regulation from a global perspective. Caroline’s 16 years of international engagement experience in building and maintaining cooperative working relationships around the world.

Caroline works closely with the Managing Director and her Regulatory team on product development and registration for equine, companion animal and camel products for national and international distribution. 

Lucy Dwyer

NATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Lucy grew up on her family’s thoroughbred breeding and racing property in the Central West. She has been riding horses since she could walk, from attending pony club to open eventing competition.

Lucy has always had a love of all things horses and a passion for the racing industry, she has attended races regularly from a young age and retrained and rehomed many thoroughbreds.

With a background in operations, including being the Operations Manager for one of the leading horse transport companies in Australia, Lucy has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the racing industry, she has built a solid reputation at the highest level as hard working, honest, reliable, and always achieving the desired outcome for her clients.


With this extensive experience and an industry wide client database, Lucy works closely with EquaCare's Managing Director and Regulatory Department to provide racing entities of scale with financially viable Pharmaceutical Solutions.

Annie Kunert

National Sales Manager

Annie is the National Sales Manager at EquaCare, bringing over a decade of experience across the luxury retail, FMCG and animal health industries. In her role, Annie is responsible for leading national sales strategy, managing key retail and distribution partnerships, and driving sustainable growth.

With a strong commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the equestrian industry, Annie works closely with major retail partners, distributors, and internal teams to ensure effective product positioning, consistent brand execution, and strong in-market performance. She plays a critical role in aligning sales initiatives with broader business objectives, including new product development, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.

Annie’s expertise spans sales leadership, category management, pricing strategy, and operational execution. Known for her structured and results-driven approach, she is focused on delivering long-term value for both customers and partners, while strengthening EquaCare’s position as a trusted and innovative brand in the animal health space.

Outside of her professional role, Annie lives and breathes horses. She owns two her Off-The-Track Thoroughbred Loki and Warmblood Chase—giving her a practical, day-to-day understanding of the challenges faced by horse owners and riders. Alongside her horses, her miniature dachshund Sansa is never far away, rounding out a life deeply connected to animals both in and out of the workplace.

Megan Andrews

Product Development and Regulatory Assistant

Megan's love of horses and all animals began long before her career did. Growing up around horses and countless other pets, she developed a deep interest in animal health and performance from an early age.

Her passion led to her first role at a pre-training and racing yard, sparking a career that took her across Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and the UK.

During her time in the UK, Megan completed a BSc (Hons) in Bioveterinary Science, and she gained hands-on experience working within an ambulatory veterinary clinic. This gave her valuable experience in both the science and the day-to-day realities of animal health.

Back in Australia, Megan is excited to bring that blend of practical experience and scientific knowledge to the EquaCare team, supporting product development and registration.

Sue Hartog

Project Coordinator

Sue Hartog brings a strong combination of project coordination expertise and deep-rooted equestrian industry experience to her role at EquaCare.

Growing up on a family farm in north-west NSW, Sue developed her passion for horses from an early age. She was actively involved in pony club and competed in polocrosse for many years, and still enjoys life with her much-loved 30-year-old off-the-track thoroughbred. This lifelong connection to horses underpins her practical understanding of the industry and its community.
Professionally, Sue has built a highly regarded career across both the equestrian and government sectors, including roles with Equestrian Australia and the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, as well as the Office of Sport at Sydney Olympic Park. She has extensive experience in project and event management, operational coordination, and stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and competing priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery.

Sue is a detail-oriented and process-driven operator who plays a key role in supporting the National Operations Manager to deliver both new and existing products to EquaCare’s Private Label clients. Her focus on efficiency, structure, and client outcomes ensures projects are delivered seamlessly, on time, and to the highest standard.

Rebecca Way

SALES REPRESENTATIVE VIC

Rebecca joins EquaCare with more than 20 years of sales experience in the packaging industry, bringing a strong background in key account management and team leadership. Having worked with some of Australia’s largest FMCG businesses, Rebecca is known for her customer-focused approach and commitment to building lasting relationships.

Originally from the UK, Rebecca moved to Australia in January 2012 and has since settled in Central Victoria with her husband, two dogs, and five horses.

A lifelong equestrian, Rebecca has always had a passion for eventing. She competed up to 2* level in the UK and has more recently competed in Australia with her OTT thoroughbred. Today, she is focused on developing young horses and pursuing her passion for retired thoroughbreds.

Kate Wolff

SALES REPRESENTATIVE QLD

Kate joins EquaCare with a background in veterinary nursing, animal health, and relationship managementacross the veterinary industry throughout Queensland and Northern NSW.

Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, Kate has worked across equine practice, emergency veterinary services, technical support, and territory management roles. Her experience working closely with veterinary clinics and industry professionals has given her a practical understanding of the challenges faced within everyday practice and performance animal management.

With a strong passion for equine health and rehabilitation, Kate enjoys helping veterinarians and horse ownersfind evidence-based solutions that support long-term animal wellbeing and performance. She is particularlypassionate about education, client support, and building genuine relationships within the industry.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys camp-drafting, working with young horses, and spending time with her family on their beef cattle property. 

Sean Rankin

Finance and Administration Manager

Sean joined EquaCare as the Finance and Administration Manager after an extensive career in the IT industry. He has a strong background in revenue and sales operations, logistics and supply chain, and customer value delivery.

Sean is passionate about optimizing EquaCare’s business performance and driving sustainable, profitable
growth. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Sean brings both expertise and a friendly demeanor to the team, making financial management a seamless and positive experience for everyone involved.


When not crunching numbers, Sean finds joy in the company of family and friends, two adorable dachshunds, traveling, country living, and spending time on the water and in the water.

Max Shen

Commercial Manager

Max comes to EquaCare with an extensive business and analyst background, a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance major) and a Bachelor of Laws. Max has previously worked for a large Global healthcare company along with the leading Horse Transport company in Australia.


Having previously worked alongside EquaCare’s Managing Director, this was the perfect fit to create synergy and balance for these two key roles. Max’s position and his commercial scope at EquaCare cover; finance, legal, admin, HR, commercial contract requirements, implementation of policies and procedures manuals, banking, financial reporting and corporate governance.  

Tarsha Walsh

Equine and Camel Nutritionist - UAE

Tarsha comes to EquaCare with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of New England.


Tarsha started her career in Australia as an Equine Nutritionist and Technical Manager, spending over 5 years working for leading Animal Pharmaceutical companies whilst also being heavily involved with the World Equestrian Games as a Quarantine Officer during 2010.

Currently based and working in the UAE, Tarsha works closely with EquaCare’s product development team, researching and developing new products for Camels and Racing Horses for the International markets.

Kalle Kortelainen

Art Direction & Brand

14+ years of experience in the content marketing, graphic design and digital field. Former lead Art Director at Shamballa Jewels, Copenhagen, Director of Marketing at Fairfax & Roberts, Sydney and Creative Director and founder at Custodian Content®, Co-Founder of Chief Nutrition. Specialised in immersive brand experiences, brand design, project management, and web and interactive cross-platform content for lead generation.

Throughout his career, Kalle has worked for and alongside influential global brands across Europe, USA and Australia. The focus has always been the same - expanding local products onto the global stage.
