Product FAQ
Terpenes are chemicals naturally found in plants.
Terpenes can have a wellness effect by acting on the body’s own endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is a complex network of cell receptors that work as chemical messengers. Terpenes are known to interact with cannabinoid receptors CB1 (located mostly in the brain and central nervous system) and CB2 (mostly located in the gut, muscle, joints, skin and other organs).
Research shows that terpenes may contribute to wellness as part of healthy lifestyle management. The common wellness effects include, improvements in physical aches and tension, balancing mood and calmness, controlling appetite, sharper thinking, reducing restlessness and supporting sleep.
The Endocannabinoid System
Everyone has an endocannabinoid system which is part of the body’s complex internal cell-signalling system. This system plays a role in regulating a range of functions and processes.
Scientific research has linked the endocannabinoid system to:
- appetite and digestion
- metabolism
- chronic pain
- inflammation and other immune system responses
- mood
- learning and memory
- motor control
- sleep
- cardiovascular system function
- muscle formation
- bone remodelling and growth
- liver function
- reproductive system function
- stress
- skin and nerve function
These functions all contribute to homeostasis, which refers to the stability of your body’s internal environment. If an outside force, such as pain from an injury or a fever, throws off your body’s homeostasis, your endocannabinoid system kicks-in to help your body return to its ideal operation.
Your endocannabinoid system involves 3 main components:
- endocannabinoids (anandamide (full name N-arachidonoylethanolamine) and 2-AG (full name 2-arachidonoylglycerol)) ;
- receptors; and
- enzymes.
Endocannabinoids (along with plant derived terpenes) bind to the endocannabinoid receptors that are found throughout the body, signalling to the body that the endocannabinoid system needs to take action.
There are two main receptors in the endocannabinoid system:
- CB1 receptors, which interact with the brain and are mostly found in the central nervous system;
and
- CB2 receptors, which interact with the muscles and organs and are mostly found in the peripheral nervous system and the immune cells.
Endocannabinoids (and plant derived terpenes) can bind to either receptor. The effects that result depend on where the receptor is located, which endocannabinoid binds to it and how strongly it binds.
For example, endocannabinoids, cannabinoids and terpenes might target CB1 receptors in a spinal nerve to relieve pain. Others might bind to CB2 receptors in your immune cells to reduce inflammation, which can be a common sign of autoimmune disorders.

Yes, our terpenes are legal and are
derived from plants other than cannabis.
It is currently illegal to source terpene from hemp or cannabis in Australia.
The blends were designed by a registered pharmacist. Differing terpenes and combinations of terpenes can act to stimulate, arouse or sedate and may influence people differently as everyone's endocannabinoid system is unique.
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil is the scientific name for hemp seed oil, which is a legal food product. Hemp seed oil is one of the world healthiest oils and is a great carrier for our
Terpene blends. Hemp Seed Oil is high in Omega 3 EPA and DHA. It is also high in alpha linolenic acid (ALA). Hemp seed oil also contains alpha lipoic acid that has been shown to have strong antioxidant properties, which may reduce inflammation and skin aging, promote healthy nerve function, lower heart disease risk factors, and slow the progression of memory loss disorders.
While a dosage guide is provided below, it is recommended to start small and increase dosage as required to build the desired effect.
Instructions for use:
Using the pipette dropper, place 3 to 5 drops (0.25mL) under the tongue, leave for at least 30 seconds before swallowing.
Can be used every 6 to 8 hours as required. Do not use more than 2 mL in 24 hours.
The lasting effect depends largely on the person and dosage.
Store below 25 C. Protect from light. Prolonged high temperatures and exposure to light can cause the terpenes to decay. This may lead to a decline in their wellness effects.
