We recently held our EquaCare 2023 Ambassador Search competition and we were overwhelmed and grateful for everyone who entered! After much deliberation, we’re excited to announce the winners and introduce you to the EquaCare 2023 Ambassadors: 

Jessica Callus

Jessica Callus is a very talented yet humble show rider who over the years has had major success in the show ring from Royal Shows to Horse of the Years, right through to National level. She currently has a competitive team of stunning show hunters, who have all carried Jess to many victories. Jessica is also very lucky to be trusted to ride many other talented show horses for others. Jess’s achievements in the show ring are due to her dedication and hard work along with the guidance of her super coaches John Thompson and Celeste Amezdroz.

Aurora Cape

Aurora Cape is a 14-year-old dressage rider from Sydney, NSW. She currently competes with her German riding pony, BSP Theodore Maple, in dressage competitions across Australia. Some of Aurora’s recent successes includes Champion Novice Pony at the NSW Youth Dressage Championships, Dressage NSW silver medal for performance across 2022, and being accepted onto the Dressage NSW Youth team. “I’m very grateful for the support and guidance I am given in the equestrian community and am very excited to continue to grow in the sport of dressage across 2023.” - Aurora Cape. 

Jazz Spira

Jazz Spira is a 16-year-old Junior Showjumper from NSW, competing a team of two horses, Quin Marvel (Peaches) and Outlawed W (Eddie) to 1.25m. Peaches is a warmblood mare who has been with Jazz had since Peaches was six, and Eddie is a stockhorse gelding. “I’m incredibly excited to compete my team this year, the ponies are feeling better than ever and I’m excited to support EquaCare!” - Jazz Spira. 

Tash Nichols

Australian Showjumper 

Tash Nichols is a 21-year-old Showjumper from Sydney, NSW.  She currently owns her heart horse, Puzzle, a 13-year-old dapple grey TB x Paint. Together, Tash and Puzzle have been going up the low levels of showjumping and having lots of fun in between. Tash has always been a ‘crazy horse girl’ but got into regular lessons when she was about 10 years old, and has owned a pony & 2 OTTBs in between. “My goals this year is to get out competing regularly and hopefully go for a ride on the beach!” - Tash Nichols. 

Maili Marechal

Maili Marechal is a NSW-based Showjumper and currently owns 5 horses - two quarter horses, two warmbloods and an Off The Track. The 16-year-old recently trained and competed in Florida for showjumping and is planning to jump some more junior circuits this year on her new mare, Buttercup. “I am so excited to be part of Team EquaCare, I love their products so much, especially the Remedeaz Oil with how much it has helped my horses skin!❤️” - Maili Marechal

Kayla Kusturin

Kayla Kusturin is a 23-year-old dressage rider based on the Gold Coast with her young mare Florence (or Floss for short). Kayla has had a passion for horses since the age of three, and took every chance she got to be by their side until she finally got her own at 10. Since then it’s been a whirlwind of difficult, but character-building horses, which lead her to buying Floss as an unhandled 15-month-old to build a connection with from a young age. Floss is a 4YO Silver Black Warmblood x Gypsy Cob mare, and is set to start her competition career in 2023. “Outside of training, we love going on trail rides and swimming.” - Kayla Kursturin

Kadell Sykes

Kadell Skyes is a Gold Coast-based athlete and our youngest Ambassador at just (almost) 13 years old.  Kadell is a Showjumper and her goals are to compete at World Cup level, travel overseas and aim for the Olympics. “Thank you Equacare for the opportunity to be an Ambassador and supporting me along my journey.” - Kadell Sykes
